I have made some consideration times for regionals like the 200 IM, 50 free, all three relays, and I'm close on some other events. I dropped 5 seconds off my 100 backstroke from last year and I'm happy about that. Ever since the meets had started I haven't been going to physical therapy which I'm upset about because I feel like I haven't be doing good and there wasn't Enfinity practice this week too. I do see and feel some progress throughout these 12 weeks. I hope I will get stronger and faster to make regionals sometime this season.

We had our first meet on the 21st. I swam the 200 IM, 50 free, 200 medley relay. and the 200 free relay. I cam in second for the 200 IM and my time was 2.48 which is pretty good but I hope I get faster at it. I also swam 50 free and my time was 30 (seconds), which isn't that great but my events were also back to back and I was really tired from the 200 IM. For the 200 medley relay split time for my 50 free, my coach told me it was about a 28(seconds) and for my 200 free relay my time was a 29(seconds). I made consideration time for 200 IM, but I need to drop about 20 more seconds to automatically make it for regionals. The next week we had another meet on the 29th, I swam 200 medley relay nd my split time for 50 free was a 27(seconds) I was very proud of that because that is the lowest time I have ever gotten for 50 free and that also tells me that I'm getting better. Right after that I swam 200 free, I didn't know that I was swimming that and I was already tired from the relay that I didn't go hard. my time was 2.9, now I know that I could of have gone faster but like I said I was tired and out of breath. I also swam the 500 free, I was really scared to swim this cause its 20 laps but I actually did very good my time was 7.01. My last event was the 400 free relay, my split time was a 1.06 which is what my 100 free time is. I went to Enfinity practices for the next 2 weeks. I felt like I was getting faster and my strokes were getting a lot better. At practice, we have been working on our IM which I feel like it's getting better, breaststroke which is my worst stroke and I hate swimming it, and our breathing patterns. I also went to physical therapy twice each week and I do feel a difference in the water when I pulling. our first meet is coming up soon and I'm pretty scared but I know I will do good and I hope I will drop some times from last year.
I went to Enfinity practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday because next week on the 31st is when Davie swim team started. I was excited to see who all was going to be on the team. Last year we didn't have a whole lot of people. But this year we had a whole lot more people and most of them are pretty good swimmers. I wasn't happy about who our coach was gonna be because she didn't seem nice when I was younger. But I hate practicing at the Davie YMCA because the water is always close to 90 degrees and its also really hot in there. I have asthma and it makes it harder to breath so I would be going to Enfinity to practice so I won't see out coach that much until the day before a meet and on meet day.
My mom finally schedule a appointment for me this week. I went Tuesday and I was there for about 2 hours. They had to do a check up to see where I was at and then I would start doing some exercises. I actually missed going to physical therapy. Over the summer I did see some progress, I was getting stronger and my times were getting better from my summer swim team. I started using 1, 2, and 3 pounds when I started physical therapy, then I started using 3, 5, and 8 pounds. now I'm using 5, 10 and 15 pounds for a specific exercises. I also went on Thursday and they gave me new exercises like table taps and more(can't remember the names of them). I went to practice Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and it was hard cause I was sore from therapy.
At me practices this week he worked on IM which id butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle in that order. IM is my favorite event, most people hate it cause you have to do all four strokes but I don't I'm really good at it and my time always gets better after I swim it. I'm just scared to swim a 200 IM which is each stroke but you do 2 laps of them and that's a lot harder. I'm a buttflier but butterfly also causes a lot of pain in my left shoulder. I hope that it does eventually go away and make my shoulders worse.
I know that I'm getting better as I swim. I have been working really hard to get better. I always have massive cramps in my legs or in my arms, but to me that makes me feel like I'm working hard and also getting sore. I would really like to make regionals this year. I also have to drop my 50 free time for my relays cause they are a lot faster then me but I know I can do it. with all the running and biking it has made some progress with my kicking. I feel like I'm kicking more then I am with pulling.
I went to practice more then I did last week. It started getting easy to swim but it still hurt a lot.My coaches helped me and helped stretched them out after practice. I still ran when I didn't go to practice my mile times have gotten faster which it helped in the pool. I also started biking to also work on my leg strength so I could kick more and faster. my mom still hasn't scheduled a appointment for physical therapy yet, but I'm hoping that it will be soon.
My first week of getting back into the pool was awful. I haven't been swimming since my championship meet which was in mid July. My shoulders hurt so much more then they did before. I went to the doctors last week on Monday and they said that I need to still do physical therapy, which I need to schedule a appointment. I didn't go to practice much this week because I also had a lot of other important things to do. I started running when I didn't go to practice. I went to practice and it was hard trying to keep up with the other swimmers in my lane because I started massive pain in my shoulders.
